Teach Me, Lord

S: Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.” “Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied. Luke 7:40 (NLT)

O: I’ve journaled on this verse before, but it’s such a great reminder of how You work with us. You know our thoughts – even before a word is spoken, and in that moment, You call us out on it – and we get to decide if we want to listen.

Teachable moments. You are the Master of them.

A: I don’t want to miss anything You have to tell me, God. I want to be called out on my thoughts! I want to transform my thinking, but I need Your help. I need You, Teacher, to speak to me – to show me where I’m not thinking correctly – where I’m making judgements based on what I think is best, and not on what You KNOW is best. I need Your heavenly wisdom.

P: Lord, help me to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Teach me, Lord. Stop me in my judgments, Holy Spirit. Please keep inviting me in to learn from You. Go ahead, Teacher, whatever You need to say, I’m listening.

I love You, Jesus.
